New CEO's first day on the job was Jan 29, 2024. Today (Jan 31st) - mass layoffs @ Akron HQ.
They need to close the Danville, VA plant. Low production, high waste, and p-e poor workmanship. Let us not speak about the poor quality of the building itself, nor the deaths a few years ago. There isn't one position on 5he floor that requires any amount of intelligence, a blind monkey can do most of the labor out there, maybe even better?
