ROC Layoffs in January?

Hearing more and more about layoffs in January. Anyone know if the ROC will be hit again?

they laid a lot of people off starting in January last year, and continued culling throughout all of 2023.

no word yet on raises (some of us haven’t had a raise in nearly two years) nor bonuses for those who are usually eligible. never think you’re safe.

Unlikely in Jan due to holiday recovery. April makes the most sense from a business perspective.

I always heard it was in march or april but if it's in january...i guess il make sure to use my sick time while i can haha

As revenue continues to shrink due to business losses, the 'leadership' will persist in trimming the labor force to ensure that revenues exceed costs. Eventually, the equation will be such that revenue equals cost, both amounting to zero. Along this journey, those without access to the scavengers at the top of the hierarchy will be the first to be trimmed.

Nielsen is going out of business slowly. A playbook to extract every last penny is being followed. The finance capitalists did the same thing with Sears over a 25+/- year period. The Media and Advertising business model is obsolete. The ROC and every employee will be impacted this time or one of the many times Nielsen misses a BS target number mandated by the investor class.
