Yesterday there was a post on here about injuries in the last week being covered up in desoto? What happened to it or did the management get it removed to try covering it up! I am curious how it turned out with getting away with going and getting stitches after leaving the hospital.

Magic eraser!! Haha love the name!! 👍 what happened this time? If they keep covering up injuries it will get out eventually, he-l what am I saying, who would it get out to? This is the UP way, this is exactly what they want, as long as the FRA don’t find out that’s all they care about really.
Now another injury at DeSoto has been covered up. That makes 3 separate injuries in a row that have been erased from the record. I guess this is how PSR works.
Givins and a small army from HR will be at DeSoto on 1/9.
Nope he’s not going to be in De Soto tomorrow. Was in meeting today with him, things were changed. Heard some changes are coming with De Soto though.
Givins is coming to DeSoto for a visit 1/3. He’ll get things straightened out.
They for sure no longer have pride in their work and mechanical wise, it shows. Paint looks good and that’s about it. I don’t know what all has changed down there in the last year but it su-ks trying to deal with management there for parts. It used to be easy to get in touch with them but if it isn’t before 5pm every day then you’re just out of luck, you aren’t getting an answer until the next day or the day after if your lucky after 9 in the morning. I know I’m in a different town zone, but the railroad runs 24/7 and the leadership team there should know that and have enough courtesy to at least answer a phone or message. We’ve started outsourcing a lot to parts that we used to get from them, so I don’t know why they would even be making parts anymore because we aren’t the only ones getting part made elsewhere.
Oh he-l, it was that way even before JV, half a-s work. If you don’t believe me ask about the missing Y47 pin at AB/InBev and the coupler pulling straight outta the car 😂 or.... the hanging outlet gate on a hopper that wasn’t bolted on, I can keep going. Here’s the facts, 15 years ago carman there had pride in their work, but 1. They were treated great
- They weren’t rushed 3. Had adequate staffing. After years of being treated like sh-t, people just don’t care, why have pride in your work today when you can be fired tomorrow?
You can thank the management team for those defects. They rush people along to do their jobs or harass them so bad that nobody cares anymore.
Yep they got rid of fisher and have new seniors there as well, now they just sit in the front office, one of them used to work with us at A& S. You should see all the bad orders that come out if there once it hits us at A&S. Looks like all they do down there ya put fresh paint on and kick it out. Literally have had parts missing in air components or pins missing in the trucks that we bad order right after it leaves them. My brother works MOW down there and says they are never there on Fridays
Fish got the boot awhile back for his idiocies, he is up north wearing a bear suit running some other shop. Sorry for those people. I’m not sure about the legality of allowing a worker hurt on the job to get treated on his personal time and use private insurance, I do know if the insurance company finds out, the cat will be outta the bag. They will refuse coverage and the employee will be on the hook to pay up.
Is Fisher doing the cover up he should have been fired a long time ago….
@byj-In a nutshell, an employee had an injury on duty that required stitches. Management took employee to local urgent care to be x-rayed for broken bones, which they found none. Employee agreed to be discharged from the urgent care without receiving stitches and return later to get the stitches and turn it in on their own personal insurance. Management allowed this.
They always cover up injuries, I wanna hear the details if anyone read the deleted post
I’m sure it was true and they all know it. I bet not one manager gets in trouble for it but u bet an employee does to cover it up for them
It was too specific. Not saying what it said wasn’t true, in fact it was true. But it was too specific for the moderators on here. Hopefully the truth comes out about both of the situations.
