Did CA pull an IBM? White and Asian males at all costs?

It is targeted - indicated by Sr. Director & VP when they say someone else is not targeted.
The criteria are more like women over 45, 1.5x~2x annual income of Sr. designers
From what my friends and I could figure out, the criteria was over 45, more than 15 years with the company, and making more than a certain amount of $$ (which I won’t state here.)
Qualcomm is like 5% white males and 95% Asian males. Of course they fire those guys, it's all they've got.
All 15 of the people laid off in my group were US citizens, Mostly long-timer, 20 year type employees who were naturalized citizens. But also enough native-born citizens to spice it up.
Maybe they thought it was more merciful to fire citizens who could more easily land on their feet, than H1-Bs who would be facing deportation. Maybe they deliberately kept the H1-Bs because QCOM likes having that immigration collar around their neck. Either way, the last two rounds of layoffs were definitely targeted.
Qualcomm singled out the only non-binary, transgender unicorn on purpose…. That is the point… percentage not overall count. Only a Mo--n would use count and not percentage
If several hundred/thousand other non-binary, transgender, unicorns were laid off as well, that you have a point. Otherwise, you a just a mo--n.
I am a non-binary , transgender , unicorn 🦄 and I was let go! I feel Qualcomm is also attacking nonbinary, transgender unicorns
It’s looks like mostly older SAN DIEGO employees that have been at Qualcomm for many years. Qualcomm is fast becoming dominated by only employees in India. Teams in San Diego are also looking to be majority from India.
