It was always like this. No surprise.

Most layoffs happen November, February and June for Staples since 2019. Stay tuned!

Layoffs are not done more than twice a year and really a substantial layoff is typically once every couple of years depending on how bad things get. There may be minor layoffs here and there, but not one that will be that big. Layoffs have affected my area in 2015, 2020, and 2023. I would expect 2025 will be something if things don't get turned around in 2024.

The only positive lay off would be when Sycamore opens their eyes, see the damage cause By Lederer and lays him off.. such a pathetic CEO , fully of nastiness . Always condescending. Tries to ki-l any leftover inspiration/home Everytime he opens his mouth.. never seen a more cr-ppy CEO..

Just take a look at that leadership Pic posted on Staples inc LinkedIn page.. it's a group photo and no one wants to stand next to him.. he stands like a loner there.. such a Loser CEO..

JH and JL will smile while counting their bonus and asking their FP&A minions to tell them how many people they cut to cover their bonus.

The massacre was before the holidays that’s when they like to do their crushing of lives. We should be fine until mid year. The SLT will make their bonuses for the lives they destroyed this year and time will tell what happens next. Don’t wait to have someone else define your timeline. Get your resume out. Job market is good and money is better elsewhere. Staples does not care about their employees. It is only about the top 1 percent at the top and the equity firm bleeding it dry. Vampires.
