If you're mechanical it doesn't matter if your department at your location goes injury free, this company will still furlough or gut the whole department. I'm not saying to go and get injured, none of us want that. Stay safe no matter what. Having good efficiency number also doesn't matter. The carmen in Denver can attest to all this. They were injury free and had good efficiency numbers and looked what happened to them. As a current te&y in Denver, i can say that trains are now 3-4 hours late leaving the terminal, with a lot of defects. Our utility guys don't know what to look for during inspections, and have expressed this to management. The defects that are found get sent out on the train per orders from management. The railroad doesn't care about the safety of its employees, or the safety of the communities their trains run through. It's blatantly obvious. When the top brass tell the shareholders, the public or the regulatory bodies, that safety and customer service is top priority, we all know that's just hot air. We all know what the real top priority is. Stay safe out there regardless my fellow railroaders.

Locomotive in Denver has to be the same. They absolutely don’t care about the junk they send out! Well, to salt lake anyhow.
Make n anonymous values line complaint as well. It has to be investigated.
Time to make anonymous reports to the FRA about those defects.
