Thread regarding Kyndryl layoffs

What is it like to work directly under Schroeter?

I'm asking because I want to know if it is a good idea to take a position an assistant.

Making sure that he's not a total psycho is one thing, but you might also consider whether that sort of job would turn you into a total psycho.

Are you ready to go out and pick up his dry cleaning? Talk to his wife (and make up excuses when necessary)? Truth be told, I don't know if he's even married, but executive assistants are expected to do that. Take care of personal needs for his family?

How much money are you being paid? Is it an hourly or salaried job? As assistant to the CEO, you might be getting stock options. What is your compensation package? Can you set aside any personal feelings or opinions that you might have about his role as CEO? Can you be diplomatic in front of clients? Can you wear business-ready attire every working day? (I mean BUSINESS-READY, none of that business-casual stuff. Something you'd wear at the bank or a law office.)

I couldn't do it, personally. I'd end up being a total psycho.

I wouldn't be able to stand looking at him every day. Seems like he's hungover miserable all the time. Move on to a better opportunity.

Not trolling. Just trying to get a sense of character and make sure he's not a total psycho.

Against my better judgement, I'm posting a response just in case you're asking a serious question and not just trolling everybody for good humor. If you're asking if it's a good idea to be one of Martin Schroeter's assistants, only you can answer that question. An executive assistant has executive-level responsibilities...compiling expense reports, preparing meeting agendas, making travel arrangements (for the executive, not just yourself), planning events, and taking care of the executive's needs (and get your mind out of the gutter, I don't mean those needs). It's a real job that often involves real money and real responsibilities, and therefore has real compensation for whoever takes the job.

It's not a job for mere flunkies.
