With all the new PI planning, you're saying again this month they'll be announcing the layoffs and eliminate people to off-shore?
I thought those that were getting let go were already alerted and their jobs will be cut now.
This doesn’t make any sense. Can someone confirm if the layoffs happening this month are net new?
So you're saying that the folks who got their 15 minute meetings in December were part of a RIF (i.e. the company does not intend to fill those positions; they are fully eliminated) and there are additional employees who don't know, as of now, who will be getting laid off or told they're being laid off in late January (i.e. the company fully intends to fill those positions, but with off-shore workers)?
This isn't a rumor. You are not understanding or fully aware of the next steps.
In November, the company eliminated positions.
In January, the company will layoff employees. These employees will be replaced by off-shore employees.
When will this be announced? Employees will be notified in the later part of January.
Who is impacted? Organizations that need to have a higher percentage of employees working off-shore. Some groups will be impacted, some will not. Some have been planning for this. Some have not.
We know the total number of employees impacted is 1300. This round will be larger than the job eliminations that were announced in November.

Where are you hearing this? They made a global announcement with a global email sent out with all employees who need to get laid off getting their HR meeting invites. All 10% of the folks who were laid off were notified in November with different dates. Why would a company announce staggered layoffs. Spreading false rumors is really annoying
I thought we were done with the announcement of 1300 employees in November with different separation dates. Are you again saying they'll schedule another All Hands Meeting this month mid?
In January, layoffs will be announced. Probably the 2nd half of the month but impacted associates should know by January 26.
This is part of the overall total of 1300. Nearly all will be in the US as these positions will be moved to India and other off-shoring locations.
Rumors had around 400-500 positions eliminated in November so this event could be as much as 800.
Next year when? Any approx dates?
