Thread regarding Change Healthcare layoffs

Things just keep getting worse

More than a year since the acquisition and things have continued to get progressively worse. I decided to stay when it originally went through to see how things would play out. I expected layoffs, which always happens, and some other cost cuts but what I didn't see coming was such an immediate change in company culture. Things turned toxic overnight. I am done. I have a few leads and whichever pans out first, I'm leaving and not looking back.

"Stringing all of us along for weeks with no pay" your post lost all credibility with that statement.

I just got laid off today by Change Healthcare because of the cyber attack. They handled it so badly. Stringing all of us along for weeks with no pay and just promising we'd be back to work by next week. Then today they cut my entire team loose. We're all devastated. No severance. Nothing.

Hey - I am a former Optum employee who has a friend at the Wall Street Journal. The WSJ is looking to speak with a Change / former Change employee (off the record.) If anyone is interested could you please email me at Trapperkeeper@protonmail.com? All info will be kept confidential. Thanks!

Optum/UHG is an awful organization that destroys all it touches and now they are destroying themselves. Karma!

Change Healthcare was not; it was a great organization with a great reputation and a decent culture. Unfortunately, that is all gone with the toxicity of Optum/UHG which has no idea what they are doing.

It is very unfortunate and sad as they have destroyed Change Healthcare, its culture, its products, and its people.

NOW UHG/Optum will get theirs; Karma!

I worked for CHC and was laid off after the first of the year, all I can say is the leadership team at Optum is getting everything it had coming for them and so much more. They laid off so much tribal knowledge, which is likely a reason this attack has lasted so long. Looking back I couldnt be happier it happened, the grass was greener on the other side.

Yes, it's clear the toxicity that's happening lately is to get people to quit so they don't have to go through the expense of laying them off. Optum has the reputation of being the "Amazon of Healthcare," i.e., lower-level workers get leaned on until they burn out or quit. Change Healthcare was a nice workplace; Optum definitely isn't, at least for tech workers. The acquisition of Change was done primarily for intellectual property, meaning most Change workers will probably be pushed out or laid off.

Anyone that can leave Optum, should. They want you to quit.
