Yup, that would be a sure fire way to make me quit. One year we received a big rdc truck on Christmas Eve. My asm laughed at me when I asked if I could get assistance as there were 30 pallets of electrical.
Me being me, I grinned and knocked out most of the pallets during my shift. I’m sure he through he was a great manager. Dude wouldn’t speak to me when I quit. Now he’s unemployed and I make triple what I did at Lowe’s, and yes, I ignored his LinkedIn invite.
I work 9-5 M-F in a nice office, use your brain, get a license in something, be reliable and find a good boss.
So glad I retired at the end of the last pay period.
I’m a former auditor. Lots of companies do inventory on Christmas and Christmas Eve. So the day after is actually not as bad as it could be. Spent many Christmases either counting inventory or on call to do so.
