Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

January will be a bloodbath

Is everyone already looking for a new role at this point given that there will be a bloodletting in January?

After applying for over ten jobs in corporate banking, I haven't heard anything back. Is anyone else seeing the same thing?

Are there any good job boards I should be looking at?

My ex-colleagues are looking for jobs since July 23 after layoffs and no luck..
I personally applied at 10 different companies and I get the standard email
“ While we appreciate your application for this position, we have decided to pursue other candidates that better fit our current needs.“

If you are let go, better option is to take the Severance. There is no wrong in saying you were let go in this tough market when finding new job. Note: The market might take 2-6 months to start hiring back. I heard lots of companies have plans to layoff including UPS, FedEx and other Banks. I wish "Happy New Year" but at the same time we have to admit, its going to be tough.
IT industry is already packed with layoff from Facebook, LinkedIn and Microsoft around March-May last year. They are in hiring freeze and strictly hiring only above standard employees. If you are in tech industry would suggest to upgrade skills to latest. We as Citi employees are already outdated.
