Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

The slide out of the Gartner quadrant continues

No surprise really as this has been occurring for a number of years.

The latest Gartner Magic quadrant for cloud database management systems has been released and Teradata slides further out of the leaders quadrant. Under the current ELT team the once mighty brand has gone from leading the list to falling way behind.

Where's the spin from Marketing on this failure?

So pathetic !!!

Gartner quadrant placement can be achieved with consulting payola. After ELT wine and dine them to get TeraDIE in the quadrant, they bragged about how we are the best with most potential. Little did they realize, still need to execute. Now that this inept ELT squandered the farm and failed to execute, they should be fired before laying off another worker.

Legacy customers are the only thing keeping Teradata afloat. Once they move to the Cloud (and it will not be Vantage), Teradata will be a memory. So sad.

Obvious.
Vision is weak : TD is desperately struggling to catch up. Seven years ago, TD’s terrible CTO refused to ride the cloud wave six years ago ! And worse, TD is more than late on AI which is a Copernican game changer.
TD’s Ability to Execute is quasi impossible to evaluate given that no new customers have been signed since a while.
So sad. Death angel is on the way. A so bright company years ago starring death in the face death. We love TD, but TD is to leave us. Requiem Mass to plan soon.
