Regional Teams, When walking the stores, do you ever think "what is wrong with this picture?" Why do we not have Polo, Lauren, Sleepwear, handbags, cashmere, and are bloated with awful private label and Parkas. Why are we over HUR in the stores you visit? Why do the visit stores have low NPS scores? Why is every fixture immaculate? Why are there zero recovery rods IN SIGHT? Please pay attention to the BIG IDEAS. Our customers shop for affordable luxury and not over priced CR>P. If we need to elevate our customer experience we need a better quality of merchandise. IT IS ALL ABOUT THE ASSORTMENT!!!

District Planners, all cut in 2015, used to be able influence assortment mix for stores. Since then, you get what you get. The voice of the store/customer was lost.
The region team does not dictate assortment.
Smaller store and we're pretty picked over too. Lots of 34th. Lots of CK, DK. Lauren and Karl get stolen or sold quickly and no replen.
FINALLY getting sold down on W Coats and still getting M coats!
Our assortment is awful, as a previous person stated, we have very little designer brands left to sell, however, we have private label goods for everyone in the Bay Area. We are a top 50 door! So the goal is to be out of great branded merchandise the week after Black Friday and have a life time supply of INC or "on 34th" that will go to penny. Lets talk gross margin or maybe just GROSS!
The regionals do not pick the assortments if you don’t have Lauren it’s because Lauren pulled out of your store because they don’t want to be in it.
On 34th is trash. They should have just kept Alfani ,Charter Club and Karen Scott. The boat neck tops that Charter used to carry were Pima cotton the new on 34th version is garbage not soft at all not made well either. Im getting alot of complaints about the stores selection overall. No decent handbags, pj's shoes. Macy's just wants to sell their store brands which no one is buying
It is 3 days before Christmas! The sell through plan IS to be sold down in most affordable luxury holiday by now. Assortments are leaner this year. Less mark downs after Christmas.
Clean fixtures and selling floor......well, would you clean your house for a guest? Not unique in any Company to spiff up for the boss. Hopefully, when your boss cleans house you will still have a job.
I work in a big store and our merchandise is very picked over in the national brands, but we have a life time supply of "on 34th," and "cozy" May be that is why business is tough.
