Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

Annual Review Meetings & Layoffs

My review was submitted by my manager. He/she has not scheduled a meeting yet and I'm going on holiday break in next couple of days. What do you think? I know they have until like mid-January to hold meetings. Should I be worried or think I'm on the block for layoffs?

Reviews in Dec or Jan have no relation to the org restructure. Its all down to bandwidth of the manager conducting the reviews.

We can't control everything and some decisions are made for us but new doors will open; opportunities will arise.

I know its hard, but try to enjoy the festive period with friends and family and don't think about work!

Mine too in January. I just don't understand why they like to drag it till January. I know we have till 8th or 12th Jan to acknowledge it, but it will be nice to let your staff members know the performance before Christmas holiday. Understand that they can't share the lay-off details, but performance review can be done before New year if they like to. Just my 2 cents. This is just an example that for Citi management, our peace and mental well-being are not as important as their "strategy" and transformation agenda.

Having your scheduled meeting in January doesn't mean you will be laid off. Many people had their performance reviews last week, this week and a lot will occur the first week of January since we have until the 8th I believe to acknowledge it
