Fresh out of the rumours mill that new wave of layoff coming post Q1 results announcement. Reasons/excuses given to optimise and create opportunity/capacity to ride the AI wave/innovation, and also due to productivity/efficiency gain, to return more to shareholders blah blah blah. Reality is share price is moving south, affecting C suite pockets.

I think it’s safe to say that this post didn’t age well. No additional layoff wave was announced after Q1 results were posted. Another useless rumor coming from another useless OP.
It could be worse, you could be working at Dell.
“Those who think that HP can’t get along without them are usually the first to get laid off.”
“Have heard similar statements by lots of people who got laid off at HP.”
These people have probably already been laid off and are giving into their confirmation bias.

yes, I can confirm it is coming, many talks going around and "hc planning plan" going on company wide
Every day I sign in to work, I wonder if I'll still have my job or not. Not having any semblance of job security is stressful and tiring.
There are far worse places to work than HP. But yes, it’s struggling.
I made tons of money over my long career there and don’t regret it one bit. $$$
So VERY glad I left HP years ago. HP has become a place where professional careers go to die. True innovation does not happen anymore, and the company has a lot of inexperienced people along with those away lifer bootlickers from the Compaq acquisition who just never seem to go away.
If you choose to remain at HP, you’ve been warned!
Liar liar pants on fire hang your pants on a telephone wire…
Man, I totally feel you on this. It's like a game of musical chairs with the C-suite, and we're the ones left standing without a seat. This whole integration mess with Poly/HP has been a nightmare. It feels like they're just shuffling people around without even asking us how we feel about it.
And don't even get me started on these layoffs. It's like they're using "AI" and "innovation" as excuses to cut costs and boost their own pockets. Meanwhile, they're handing out pink slips to folks who've been here for years like it's nothing. It's messed up.
I'm fed up with the lack of consideration for us regular employees. Our morale is in the gutter, and it's no wonder people are unhappy. I just hope they start listening to us before more of us end up in the firing line
