Does anyone feel sleighted that they didn't get a choice to turn down the EUC transition offer? I had seen this question in one of the townhalls but HR kind of gave a PC answer. Just wanted to take an informal poll here.

They should fired all fu--ing managers there. They are useless

IMHO neither going with EUC or staying with BC is a great option. You’ll have just as good of a chance of getting whacked in either situation and BC will hit you just before your precious RSU’s mature.
Did the UK employees who were made redundant on Monday get offered roles or interviews for EUC ?
"There is no transition offer, no severance option for EUC."
Not yet, but when the PE owner takes over there will surely be headcount cuts, so some will receive severance (without a transition offer). It's inevitable, to right-size the business for the market opportunity. Meaning, EUC is not right-sized now (from a PE perspective).
I was given a transition to EUC letter. I spent about two months attending EUC meetings, trainings in preparation to work in EUC. Let's just say EUC is a big shi+ show. I'm glad to be back at BC as an FTE instead of sailing on the "Titanic" if you know what I mean.
There is no transition offer, no severance option for EUC.
If I were offered a severance I would have walked, no RAN, far away from EUC.
EuC has had questionable hiring and recruiting tactics......I wouldn't be surprised if people followed the same path as our colleagues at other sites in terms of lawyers and or declining the fte offer and staying with Broadcom
Not to mention that EUC leaders snatched people off of BCs lists, essentially not giving them a choice to choose. People lost rsus and bonuses bc of this.
OP here, to stay as transition for BC instead of rolling into EUC.
I actually hate that EUC were folded in with zero benefit, no RSUs and realistically the choice to either accept offer or resign. Zero incentive to stay around for the next round.
If you want to turn down a transition offer there’s 3 options imo.
- You don’t care about money
- You have a significantly better offer from elsewhere
- D-mbness
The transition offer is the best option out of the 3.
Do you mean you wish you received a full-time offer, or that you could have just quit as of the acquisition date?
