The Shop is in the worst possible location and the Machinist don’t know how to do anything beyond simple inspections. Albina is top in line to be shutdown PERMANENTLY. All work will go to Hinkle where they actually know how to do stuff. Not to mention they are doing Main Gen’s and have a Drop Pit and Wheel True. Albina should have been shutdown years ago but at least they realize that now.

Didn't Hinkle get shut down during PSR 1.0, so why would Hinkle survive this time? PSR hates hump yards.
There’s a huge lack of experience at any of the shops that had layoffs due to most of the people not returning. It seems that people found better jobs while they were laid off and told the railroad to take a hike when they were called. Albina isn’t the only place with inexperienced help and the inability to troubleshoot, it’s everywhere and the fleet shows it! Those of us who’ve been here a long time have learned to just stop caring and remember it’s not our fault why things are collapsing around us.
