Somehow the same executives that ran Valence Health into the ground came into power after Valence was acquired by Evolent. Sure enough those fools managed to continue to sc--w things up. Steve Tutewohl was in over his head and his crew ran off any Evolent talent by poor decisions, divisive culture, and favoritism

Couldn’t agree more with this. Emily Rafferty is a perfect example. Absolutely does not know what she’s doing yet keeps getting promoted.

So, these high-growth companies are all about pouring their revenue back into the business to grow bigger, innovate, and basically take over the market. They're not so concerned about turning a profit right away. It's like they're playing the long game, focusing on getting more users, dominating the scene, and making investors believe they'll hit it big eventually. Plus, they might be scooping up other companies left and right to strengthen their position, even if it means their bottom line takes a hit for now.

Evolent needs to clean house with its upper management and executive leadership. I don't understand how these same people continue to fail year after year after year but retain their positions. I can think of a few that just talk a lot, never accomplish anything, and blame outside forces/other people, etc. (BS) Keeping those same people on the ELT is preventing new ideas from coming in to the organization. And for all of their diversity chit chat, if you look at their leadership, you're looking at a heck of a lot of white guys that aren't going anywhere.

It's one of the most disorganized, chaotic organizations I've ever worked with. Most of the truly talented folks figure it out and get the heck out, leading to a brain drain.

I don't understand the business model where a company has a billion plus in sales, never turns a profit, and lays off people routinely. What's the market see that I'm missing?
