Severance for Remote Workers

So if you decide to stay remote and your manager doesn’t approve… and you get WFR for not going in (since you live hours away from an office)….will you still get a severance package?

I don't think you would get WFR'ed for not going in. If you are hybrid and don't go in to the office you are violating corporate policy. That's enough to get you fired.
As others have said, that is probably the point of this whole RTO initiative.

If they don't have an office near you, and expect you to come in it it's a forced quit ie a removal of your position.
You can pressure dell for severance and file for UI under those terms.

I think the whole purpose of this exercise is to not pay severance wherever possible.
