CEO promised board of directors he would get the share price to $300. They promised him $80 Million Bonus.
Don’t buy their stock.

Well then just maybe once he gets that bonus then he'll make an exit like Harrison did! The 200 million Harrison got paid for sc--wing up other RR's amounted to nothing when he died. You can have all of the money in the world, but you can't take it with you. Not only will Vena not be able to enjoy that money in he11, he'll also be remembered as an arrogant pr1ck. I really hope he's not proud of that accomplishment.
Stock is purchased on the 10th every month. Sometimes it’s high sometimes not. To say they only purchase at peak is fake news. I’m pretty sure my small contribution isn’t what’s driving the price up.
The Employee Stock Purchase Plan is an immediate 40% match. I cannot envision an economic cataclysm that would cause the oldest publicly traded stock in the US to drop into the red there.
This is a good buy, and a good tactic from the UP for offering the employees some ownership, no matter how small, of the team they work for. I’m as disappointed as the next guy in the way the railroad is being ran under Vena… But get your money folks.
The Employee Stock Purchase plan is nothing more than an IOU on your paycheck. If you want to buy the stock, open a brokerage account and purchase shares on your own. You then have control of your money for buying and selling. UP never wanted to share the wealth when the stock was under $100. Now they are trying to keep as much cash on hand and hoping you lend them a portion of your wages in return for their inflated share prices.
I save my po-p for when I’m on the clock and getting paid, how’s that for your productivity number. I also deliberately bad order system cars.
I’m glad I got into the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. My total gain so far is more than 16%.
While I wouldn't be surprised I'm fairly certain that would need to be in a contract and thus disclosed. Any hard info?
That’s d-mb. If I can make money as well why would I not? Say all you want, if the shareholders are making money off our hard work, I want some too.
I was told long ago to never buy stock in the company you're employed at.
I didn’t buy Up stock. Have my own Ira and in 401K too.
I'm seriously the only one in my work group that didn't buy into their stock. They sc--w ya in the auto stock buy plan. When stock is high your buying a share or two at its peak. Makes no sense to buy at peak. Pyramid scheme to me. Other stocks outperform UP. But to many brainwashed employees.
