Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

We are not family

I love how my manager always pulls out the "we're family" card when he wants more from all of us (and when I say more, I mean more than humanly possible,) and yet when we need something, we are denied and we shouldn't get upset because "it's just business." Seriously? I stopped giving it my all a long time ago and now I just laugh at the "family" bit. If he needs more than I'm willing to do at this point, he can do it himself.

I guess people who live in reality shouldn’t be managers

Macy’s is like Olive Garden. When you’re here, you’re family.

With that attitude you will never be in a position to ask others to do something and will remain the one being asked or told.

Good luck
