Broadcom is a right laugh. Management is scratching their heads over the fact that loads of us TSEs turned down their offer, so they're scrambling to send out a second one. And now, would you believe it, my boss tells me the bigwigs upstairs are in a flap about all the rejections and are tossing out transition offers to keep folks around a bit longer for proper support staffing. It's gas altogether! Broadcom's in a panic, pulling out all the stops to hold onto engineers here in Ireland. How can anyone in their right mind take this company seriously? Just sitting back and enjoying the show, to be honest.

wait until next Monday, when they have an idea on UK rejections
I wouldn’t say op is blowing smoke, as a manager myself I did ask my own direct reports this. There was some hope we could get a few on transition contracts, but proposal rejected by higher ups.
Got a call yesterday asking would i work until May if I was asked and told them to "F*** Off" off the bat. GSS is done for, most are gone in 2 weeks or if people were smart they left on the 9th/16th.
Broadcom are a nightmare and I do feel bad for anyone left here after the 23rd
Op is blowing smoke, transitional offers for declines have not been issued. May or may not happen. Case by case basis. This was called out during consultation.
VP has rejected this idea so won’t happen
Broadcom do not care, the less people the better, your not hurting anyone by leaving, they will just hire more if they need to
Support will be some car crash post Feb 23rd. God help the people left behind
If this is true then those offers would need to go out fairly quick? People who declined have pulled trigger on process to leave on the 23rd with payroll and tax reviews. This is a mess. Time would also need to be given to review and accept or decline. If decline, as it's a new letter could that mean exit date could after the 23rd. Ahh Jesus. Get your sh**te together BC.
Give em he-l!!
I had the same conversation with my manager today, same story. Been told all the transition offers will have end of may as the transition date. But I’m not that interested in working weekends, and I’m not remotely interested in helping clean up whatever mess is left after feb 23rd.
You're not alone in your rejection of joining the AVGO borg. Here in the U.S. many of our team members rejected their offer. No amount of RSUs is worth being a mindless drone.
Good job - turned the tables back against them. Wretched company. If people as a group will stand up to them they will break.
