Thread regarding Staples Inc. layoffs

Layoffs are not a temporary situation

I wish more people would realize this. There is no such thing as "safe from layoffs" anymore. You don't have to ask if there will be more layoffs, the answer will always be yes. I know this is not something many of you want to hear, but that's the way things are. The sooner you accept it, the better off you'll be moving forward.

We did however we took the time to let go people that were not bringing value. That has not been the case with SP. there are people here that should not be here and too much talent walked out the door due to their age, experience, and pay. This can be easily shown based on performance and results and the company is lucky there has not been more lawsuits. It’s not hard to prove.

Before Sycamore we had layoffs every year too. It’s just the Staples way . Easier to cut people than actually dig into other expenses or actually grow sales.

With Staples layoffs off been a guarantee every year since being bought by SP. what depts and how many vary but something bites the dust every year in mass until there will be nothing left but some very rich people at the top.
