I received a redundancy letter and when I reported it to my manager - turns out it was a mistake and they’re talking to Hock to get it reversed. I’m not the only one.

Whats the severance policy for UK and Ireland? Did people with an offer have the option to choose severance and decline the offer like US?
May depend on role, I got the same offer as my irish co-workers. (welcome that is).
Its been well discussed and known that Ireland, had a different severance package to the UK, so shouldn't have been a shock today.
The offers themselves were significantly underwhelming and lower than our Ireland friends..... seriously disappointing..
So disrespectful- after all this time!
Broadcom HR is a mess, in Ireland we had important docs to sign to get tax relief on our severance, there are a handful of people who still DIDNT get the email and it was due to filled out by eod today.

Broadcom has sc--wed them all up. For one country they debated that Broadcom's contracts were not legal, but no one wanted to fight it. Broadcom does not believe in accountability, so whatever works at the end of the week.
Sounds normal to me. The same happened in other regions as well. There’s like 3 people going flat out cranking out offers.
It’s not like it’s people’s livelihood that they’re messing with…
Or maybe not - maybe they are all right
