Possible Buyout - rough estimate

If any company were crazy enough to "but the installed base", what is the approximate number of customers that are still with TDC? NOT looking for proprietary info, just a guesstimate on the size of the installed base.

Fairly easy to work back from the number of customers (let's say 700 for example) to determine rough valuation.

Certainly under 500 customers now. 2024 will be a significant year as some of the mega major customers will be making the move off Teradata. Erosions in every geo is enough to tell you that the customer base is shrinking faster than an artic ice shelf

The last time TDC discussed total customers was 2015 and estimated 1,300. They have lost at least 100 customers a year since then so they are now under 500 total customers. They are winning less than 10 new customers a year. Not a pretty story.....

The ELT won’t give total customers because it’s an embarrassment. They won’t list new logos because it’s an embarrassment. They fiddle with revenue because it’s an embarrassment.

Buying Teradata is a potential career-ki-ling move. Why would anyone in their right mind do that? There are only a handful of things that can be salvaged.
