Thread regarding Shell Oil layoffs

Netbenefits implied salary is live

Looked at the insurance benefit in NB today and it looks like the coverage as a multiple of annual base salary has been updated. What are you all seeing in terms of an increase from last year?

  1. 8% here, JG4, close to 100% PIR

jg4, 120% PIR due to them shifting me from Tier 3 to Tier 1, 0%

Is it possible to decrease the PIR? As a first-year hire, I initially got 100% PIR and scored Strong on performance. However, this year, my PIR decreased to 99% ?!

I don't think so. PSP shares seem to be independent of that and are dependent on what your dept/function is willing to give, and seems to be dependent on budget at a certain level

So many people in here have posted whether or not they got a PSP. Does receiving a PSP affect the amount of your raise? I thought it depended only upon your PIR and IPF (ceteris paribus)

JG3 at 14% above PIR. No raise.

T&S JG3 Legal skill pool in USA, was less than 90% PIR last year. Received 3.8%, strong (LOL) and no PSPs

I am fortunate to have a job, but man. Feels like moving up the PIR scale only can occur by leaving Shell and coming back.

Thanks for clarifying, OP. Yes, I didn’t see that 3 and decimal point. I was thinking that your manager was able to get a higher raise for you individually when my own manager told me it was not possible and that there was a strict formula Shell applies.

OP here, it was 3.8%, not 8%. Didn't intend to put a space before the decimal.

on my screen it looks like OP got 3.8% raise not 8%. OP can you confirm?

Interesting that the OP had Higher and 100% PIR and got a whopping 8% raise while @1yrl+1qSBgHjZ was also Higher, was only 80% PIR, and yet got a much lower raise (4%). You would think his raise would be higher than OPs. What gives?

Does anyone know where to find the PIR tables for your specific JG and function?

by
| | Reply
Post ID: @3tlf+1qSBgHjZ

Looks like they moved the tables up about 3% for JG5, JG4, and possibly JG3.

100% PIR and strong would get 3%. Anything other than strong or 100% PIR would get something different.

85% PIR last year, JG5 strong, 4%

yeah it doesn't seem like raises are correlated much with PIR and IPF these days?

At least in the past raises were determined by a combination of IPF, PIR and discipline. For each discipline they would publish a table of IPF vs PIR and it would determine your percentage increase. Generally higher increases would correlate with higher IPFs and lower PIRs. For example, someone with 80% PIR and IPF of 2 should expect a monster raise. By contrast someone at PIR of 115% and IPF of 0.7 would expect little if any raise.

JG3, 5% with 1.0

If you have been in your job grade for a long time, not 100%PIR, maybe you would get a higher increase ?

How did they decide the percentage? Was it a decision from managers? If you were promoted last year, would you get lower percentage?

4%, P&T, Houston, JG4, Strong, 86% PIR. Disappointed as well. Maybe they will say they don't want to contribute to inflation again to make me feel better.

2%, Strong, JG4, %114 PIR.
Not complaining given BPF and overall job market.

(current salary - min range) * 100 / (max range - min range) = PIR

I’m seeing 4% (Strong w/ PSP), 90% PIR, JG4. Pretty disappointing tbh
