When does the new (2024) PTO drop? I thought it was when the new fiscal year begins but mine looks a little different already and I’m not sure why. Less days and hours to earn and sick time since I’m in a state where they passed a sick time law.

Carve out is everywhere except union stores
I thought carve-out was only in certain states, or is it everywhere now?
Take your Sick time as if it was was you PTO …. Problem solved. U are still getting your time off .
Sick pay is carved out of your PTO. You don’t get additional sick pay hours. Legal got creative.
Not to dwell on this but I’ve averaged more hours this past year and am Full Time. I have been with the company over 10 years. Not happy that they may have taken away PTO as are my co workers who have been with Macy’s over 20 years.
To answer your original question, Sunday Feb. 4th is the first day you may use new fiscal year PTO.
It’s all based on hours worked. So if you worked less hours last year, your average hours will be less and so will your “earned” hours for PTO this year.
What I don’t understand is why the PTO and sick time doesn’t equal what I earned in 2023. It is 4 days less. Can anyone answer this?
