I hope so. I am really fixing to get this layoff over with. I just don't want to spend any more time stressing out for these people. I just want to take their money and leave. My answers to the last post survey were exceedingly blunt, and I said exactly what was on my mind. Also, if I do get laid off because of what we would call retaliation, I can still collect the severance. They can't fire me for speaking my mind. I would rather get laid off than fired. Although, if they did fire me for speaking my mind, I could claim unemployment and make more money in the long run then I would with the severance payments.

Honestly, if they are laying you off for your opinion, on the survey, they’re doing you a favor.
I wouldn't put it past them. Those surveys are ostensibly anonymous but in reality they are not - he-l, the form records your ID, and if you haven't answered the survey ypu start getting targeted nag emails. So yeah, it ain't anymous, and whatever bullsh-t they say about anonymity, don't believe it. I also don't believe that the "no retaliation" policy actually means that people are safe when they criticize the management or the company or the owners.
