On the modem side, only downsides I see are Huawei using their own chipset for 5G and Samsung using exynos for some of their models. I don't think they would layoff more modem guys because of this????

The next big lay off will be when Apple bolts. Unless Automotive loses BMW.

Yes, you are right. Based on earnings reports from other companies and analysts, Q is losing market share in China. But May / Oct 2023 was in anticipation of this? They are done with layoffs?
