I guess this is how FB responds to do more with less....
Less people, means those left behind have to be Badged into a building for 9 hours, vs 8hrs.
What is next?

We WERE told that a few weeks ago (verbally only of course). A bunch of people in Alpharetta went to HR when it was first announced and everyone was asking for something in writing. We were updated about a week later ((again, verbally) that they reversed their decision and we were to go back to 8 hours.
* OFFICIALLY RESCINDED *
I was told this week the 9-hour requirement has officially been rescinded and we’re required to be in person for 8 hours/day Monday-Thursday. I know several colleagues in the Alpharetta office went to HR as soon as the 9-hour requirement was shared with them last week (verbally, of course). Maybe everyone needs to flood HR with our complaints in general to see some action.
And this cheap company should be providing you a company paid cell phone! When Andrew was in Omaha once again he had to say how poorly First Data was and so much debt… Like FiServ was the savior…whatever…processes have still not changed over to FiServ…and the rules vary sometimes even within the same department….and how comical to see new hires ask about increases…they need to get over that now as 2% isn’t much’
I am on a team of one (myself) supporting a 24/7 product...sorry but not going to happen. Force it and let's see what happens FB.
So find another job. Guaranteed if you get an in office client facing job it's 9 hours in the office, or find a remote job.
Back when I actually went into a Fiserv office (hybrid) before they closed it, we were all expected to be in the office 9 hours, all with varying commutes. Coming from a job at an FI previously, 9 hours was the norm in the office. So I'm guessing this is a new to the work force poster. Just be glad you have a job/office to report to or find a new one, problem solved!
No.
They need to stand back and let the products fail. Maybe then the people responsible will see some accountability.
@2ieh+1qQxMUGN don't forget the weekends and all the APs we are now being paged to only to say 'not my problem, page someone else'. Our managers, directors, and VPs need to step up and standup for those of us left trying to keep our clients happy!
1+ hr drive to the office plus 9hr in the office plus 1+hr drive home + 2 or more hours WFH = work/life balance? I don't think so so no, I will NOT be in the office 9+ hrs/wk. Sorry FB. Get rid of me and see how quickly the products I support will fail with no one left to pick up the pieces.
@2rib+1qQxMUGN A normal work day in my experience has always been 9 hours. Eight hours with an hour lunch. Just be sure to take your lunch break.
Yes, I was told this in a department meeting yesterday. The time from the first badge in to the last badge out must total 9 hours. I won’t be doing it. Hey, FB. Put it in writing, ya twit. I dare ya.
Here at FrankServ, we do his bidding. We are expendable and in his own words…spoiled. He compares us to workers at McDonalds. He and his minions are in place to watch us, treat us not like the professionals that we are.
With that said, I will not work one minute past 8 hours. GBS tech upper management sux. Let’s be sure to ruin our core acquiring business
Tell me you have no life without saying "I have no life"
"With my role, I work over 90 hours a week..."
JY was the opening act for First Data’s world tour Sh!tshow.
First Data values. Ever since First Data took control of fiserv, the company has become a $hit$show
So, is there a written Fiserv policy that states that employees in a Fiserv office are required to be swipped in for 9 hrs or 10.5 hours per day? They need to put stuff in writting.
The bottom line is, that it is one more straw that will tip the employee to stay or go.
I know that this originated at the G300 meeting a couple of weeks ago. I was told to consider being in the office for 9 hours and to work Fridays. I confirmed, again, with HR and the policy has not changed.
With my role, I work over 90 hours a week... I find value in what I do. I don't care about being in the office for 9 hours.... over 6 is fine for me. If pushed, we should consider what tracking my time does . . . I am happy to go non-exempt. I could use another house too FB...
Some shared locations have to swipe on and out to go to the bathroom. FB keeps track of our bowel habits. Fuel your life will be offering free adult diapers in the near future.
"Not like I don’t work more when home most days anyway. I’m always connected."
And this is why FB does it! He knows he can keep cutting & cutting and you'll pick up the slack.
Why pay 5 people for normal work time when you can pay 1 who is willing to make work their life with no pay raise?
Reports are pulled weekly by department

it’s the number to file complaints with the US department of labor
Would love to hear the rationale behind such long hours. More productive? LOL, okay, longer lunches and more time spent on phone it’ll be. 10.5 hours every day? Sheesh.
Do you all have to swipe in and out to use the bathroom?
So so glad I asked to be let go in the 2022 Core RIF. The writing was on the wall and had been for a while. I figured it would get bad, but all this is crazy. Poor poor customers.
Sc--w FB. I'll take my hour lunch and 2 fifteen minute breaks.
I'm entitled to them and I'm taking them.
Yup. Another point of the infamous badge swipe report. You better average the nine hours each day for the month or you get flagged. It has made my manager manic. This is all that matters apparently. We spend more time talking about this than anything else at this place.
8 hours of work in sapience...
Have not heard that won’t do it if do. If I don’t take a lunch and want to leave at 8 that’s what I’m doing. Not like I don’t work more when home most days anyway. I’m always connected.
Makes it so much easier to decide.
Stay?
Leave?
Leave with a BANG!
JUST SAY NO!
Many negative comments on Omaha Gelb townhall…didn’t make numbers too many mistakes…nothing inspiring and no comment on increase percentages yet to be determined
If the badge report only shows 8 hours per person, it means you stole time from FB for lunch and bathroom breaks. Everybody takes an hour lunch right, so if you are being reported for less than 9 you are stealing from FB...and those managers, and their managers and their VPs and their SVPs are getting yelled at. Hence, the decree to just shut up FB and his minions crawling over badge data so SVPs and on down don't get in trouble and/or have to also re-analyze the data to try and explain variances. You can just hear it now in the gravely voice--if people are all working 8 hours a day why doesn't your group report show that?
No, but who gives a sh!t even if they do, just do your job as you’ve done it and if they have a problem they’ll fire you, they may fire you anyways. It’s the way it is now at Fiserv.
Pay toilets coming to your location soon
I don't understand why people will comply to unreasonable requests like this. This is a free country! Say no or go work elsewhere. I just don't actually believe some of these posts.
My department lead in BH is making us stay for 10.5 hours, Non Negotiable. I have kids!!!! Claims the decision came from the top down and can spread middle out. The real icing on the cake is the three flat tires I have gotten within the past month within this absolute mess of a construction site knows as the parking lot. Something has to give.....
Have not heard that.
