The supervisor I used to report to only looks after her own best interest. If something went wrong because of her ignorance or oversight, she tried to shift the blame to us. I would not count on that supervisor to help me.

The one I report to is seriously useless and doesn’t even understand my role enough to help me in any meaningful way whatsoever. The interesting part is that they are actually concerned that others might know this about them during this vulnerable time. I’m guessing this is not unique to supervisors and middle management across the board.

I agree. Supervisors and middle managers.... when your day is meeting after meeting of ways to shine your star on yammer rather than accountability of the job... Are you important? Company meetings look like a flock of clapping seals trying to get the attention of directors and VP's for brownie points

Don’t know what exact department you mean when you say field level. But in operations I know we already have a bunch of vacancies on both the union and supervisory side. We are already running with a skeleton crew. I can’t see how they can cut in our department. But I’m sure that they still will.

Ask yourself this - what did I do today and would it need to be done again to ensure Enbridge's future is rosy?

If the answer is No, there inlies your answer.
