What exactly are we paying for?

Also, don’t make decisions on our behalf before you ask our input.
There is ZERO transparency. Don’t feed B/S. You’re getting paid to do it.
Sounds like a bunch of people need some education on what their Local union executive go through to support their members. Do you not hold elections? Do you not vote on those who represent you? Do you think you can do a better job? Have you stepped up? Have you no clue on the time spent and the massively hard decisions that your executive have had to make on your behalf to ensure job security and safety? Are you aware that your contract has language regarding no layoffs? Perhaps you should read your contract in its entirety to gain a better understanding on how local executives past and present have worked tirelessly to provide decent language for it's membership. You should put your money where your mouth is and stop bashing those that are doing their best for the membership as a whole, and not hide behind anonymous posts. It's Enbridge that doesn't give a rats a-s, not your Local executive. Give your head a shake as I'm sure you couldn't do a better job. Should be thanking them for all the cr-p they put up with so that you don't have to.
Agreed. Lots of questionable stuff has happened. Would love to see a complete turnover of union management at 8833z
What you're paying for is employment security and a local that fights for what’s best for its members and trying to keep as many jobs as they legally can
Where does the OP start? Maybe from the point where we farmed out meter work without a fight?
Why?
