Efficiency. Too many seniors already do half of the leads work, especially if the senior wants a lead position…
Leads just do the admin stuff…
15+ analysts per TL? Good luck finding leads to stick around.
Should be this way in most areas. Sorry, but group managers mostly go to a bunch of meeting, call a ton of useless meetings and delegate work. They are needed just about as much as the leads if not less. I think this is where they will trim group managers and leads, middle-people, etc. Not just in AML but across the board.
