Spike in "retirement" emails

This January seeing more "retirement" emails . Which in hock speak is a layoff. Dunno if it's just me or the same in other BUs.

Most of 7 years plus folks should have 3-4M plus in vested RSUs if they did not sell any of them. So, they can retire easy.

When it was avago people was given 5000 share (stock price 15) for ic5 level. neither did they work hard then nor now. At Broadcom their are location not doing work but getting paid big fat salary. Management also doesn't care. end of the day someone else work getting paid peanuts and they would be the one to let go.

Put your tinfoil back on. Have you looked at the stock price? A lot of these people retiring have thousands, if not 10s of thousands, of shares. At $1200+ per share, that is a good incentive to leave. Also, most of the ones I've seen had been planned for a while.

Nah, that's expected . Most senior guys are up in age and have made more than enough thanks to hock and the stock price, so it's natural , not a layoff
