Did anyone try to negotiate severance? I read in the disclosure today management is minimum 8 weeks max 26 weeks? Wondering if I should try to get more

If you are challenging anything with Corporate HR, make sure you have an answer before you sign your severance. If you challenged anything, then sign your severance and return it, they can null and void any investigation. I was challenging how a person received a position over me, for which I had more experience in specific responsibilities for the role. As soon as the received my severance paperwork with my signature they told me they had to stop looking into it because I forfeited my rights. I told them they dragged their feet and I had to pay my mortgage. They don't care! GET OUT OF MACYS!!!! They're not looking out for any of you!

Take the severance and be grateful for it, most companies don’t offer anything.

Macy*s has crafty lawyers LOL
It's called a legal department and every company has one. Love it how Macy*s employees believe the big bad evil company is sc--wing them out of a severance.
Severance pay isn't just a Macy*s objective. Across the board in some companies associate's don't even receive a severance package, or just two weeks, regardless of years of service.

Macys has crafty lawyers to stop you from anything more than what they offer.. if you do not want a headache I suggest you take the money and run..!

You will not get anything more than what is policy. Macy's is too good at this.
