Checking back on this link to see what’s in the news of TU.
I was laid off in Oct. I was hired by another company 2 months later. For those getting laid off there are other opportunities out there. Keep your heads up. Be with family and friends. When a door just shuts on you unexpectedly and with no care about you another will open and hopefully a better one.
Can’t believe Transunion is still laying off people. I heard a lot of good people were let go, long tenure and loyal employees. I wish you well and hope you all the best.
When I was unexpectedly let go I considered myself a work horse. TU just gave up on me and rather pay me a lousy month not to work there and I collected severance and nice medical package that I didn’t use. Cobra is expensive look for assistance in your state.
I used that rotten feeling as fuel. I worked with Christmas and gray, updated my resume. Used ChatGPT for my cover letter. Signed up for free trial of LinkedIn premium.
After my layoff I was mad. Always told give two week notice and here is a billion dollar company just laying me off not professional at all. As I reflected in those couple hours after being laid off I found it a blessing. I wasn’t happy at TU and haven’t been in 3 years. No longer did I have to work for a company that made me feel unappreciated, undervalued, micromanaged and careless.
When I started my new position I pocketed that severance and medical, received a signing bonus with the new company and found out how extremely underpaid I was at TU. That’s my fault for giving all those years with no promotions and cr-p annual merit increase and 3% bonus. Now I am with a company 12% 1st quarter bonus.
Hope all of you the best let my experience be the light in your difficult time. Things will work out for the better. Evil never wins.
