About this time in 2020, there were buyout offers. A few months later there was massive layoffs and shop closures. I’ve heard that there are buyout offers possibly coming soon, so you know what that means in a few months if history repeats itself. Vena was around for it last time, and he’s here now so brace yourselves. I am not bulldozer guy.

The west coast is happy to say farewell UP and welcome aboard BNSF. I hope the UP leaves all the west coast permanently. We don’t need you!
The bulldozers won’t be showing up. Sorry guys but they all got sold at auction to make profits and pay executive bonuses!
I have solid and confirmed info from multiple sources at HQ that the west coast has very limited time left. Massive layoffs are coming due to losing the biggest customer. It’s what Vena does….when something doesn’t go his way he goes to extremes to counter it. My sources are 100% sure that UP is abandoning west coast business after this catastrophic loss to business.
Just a question but why is everyone on here worried about a layoff if you are why would you stick around and just wait. I’ve been here over 25yrs and now going to start over. Not because Iam getting laid off just the simple fact Iam will not make another 10 more years at this company. You all have skills any company would love to have any of you employees. A pice of mind is way better than this company

Its pretty vague to just post THERES GONNA BE LAYOFFS…. Everyone is already aware of layoffs coming…BUT ANSWER these questions…...when? What locations ? What crafts?
