Make no mistake they should call it what it is outsourcing and not restructuring. Last year it was laying off people in higher paying markets and moving the jobs to India, Brazil and Budapest. This will more than likely be the same especially since punit renjen did that at Deloitte. Anywhere outside of those places should be getting the resume ready. Not a good look for SAP in my opinion.

Punit turned Deloitte into an ERP implementation sweatshop powered by US-I offices. None of the Deloitte consultants I worked with on S/4 implementations knew a damn thing about anything; It was the offshore US-I teams that knew everything. He's going to do the same thing here. CoE will be a call center run from India. The only roles left in the US will be project management(Lol) and sales.

Where Rejen talks about SAP India and how hiring will increase.
This is what companies do when they are no longer able to be innovative. SAP has lost it's edge. Eventually it will be like GE or IBM with a majority of employees in India and unablle to use the layoff scheme to get a short term spike in stock price.
Go can also go to the post: " Hey Renjen isn't it about time" and scroll down to a comment where the link is posted and you will also see the timestamp when Renjen talks about CK getting increase in HC in India.

What is the video that has been mentioned on here several times with Renjen? It's been mentioned several times, but I don't know what's it about - does anyone have more info on it?
Let us also not call it "reskilling" either. This was total BS. Maybe if you are a T1 or a T2, there might be the possibility of reskilling depending on your location ( if you are in high cost country you are out of luck).
Otherwise for T3 and above, the "reskilling" was just to soften the inevitable layoffs coming your way and make it seem like CK and team were attempting to salvage your position. Not happening.
This round of layoffs is all about revamping and minimizing SAP workforce dedicated to On Prem and reshuffle what's remaining AND what is required into Cloud positions.
Agree with the assessment. Renjen already mentioned in an interview (others posted the youtube link before) that he is already working with CK to increase headcount in India. For those who are concerned about the potential lack of office space with RTO, I suspect there may not be an office space capacity issue once those folks are impacted.
