Marketing has been hit hard. Sales are expected to start next week, after Q closure. RTO is coming, with probably 3 days a week in office. There will be shake up on the top. Apparently, this is ongoing. Notices going out today as well. If you were laid off, which org, what are the severance conditions? Good luck to us all.

Gen AI is going to be HEAVILY utilized at all levels in Marketing. I use it in Field sales already for pitches. My entire pitch deck is GenAi made now.

University TA was wiped out too. Every level including managers.
Dell Blue hit hard yesterday. Those I know of were long time employees and many legacy EMCers.
Haven't heard a thing in Hopkinton.
It was a bloodbath in marketing. Entire teams wiped out. Directors were impacted too, along with their teams. Not sure how we get work done with an entire team missing.
Hearing that this extends beyond marketing and continues into other functions, and countries will be impacted based on labor laws (orgs in the US are impacted first).
The narrative was that Dell wants to be leaner, so this is a new normal.
