Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

That's all folks

Not even a 1% reduction.
Shall we move onto the march predictions as scheduled now?

First off they usually send your layoff notices the first week of the new quarter if you are in sales as they send out new account set lists then, why would they lay you off with a week to go? Need to squeeze them pennies out ya baby. Secondly with the new Nightmare RTO going into effect next quarter (39 days per quarter, no alternatives) they are expecting MANY to quit. And 3rd that guys not in a Tesla he’s trolling you. And if he is, let’s all just hope he has to replace a battery soon ;)

So we going to see anything VMware related to go quickly

  • - we know already VMware paid employees are on the list to go
  • - we expect all VMware related Sales and Support will need to look for new jobs

what will remain is core part of EMC business and Dell business lines , perhaps new virtualisation company (vstack) be next re-sale thing for Dell to avoid Nutanix and covert from VMware

Dedicating 100% of your identity and existence to corporate butt kissing. Billions of years of evolution for your unique existence to manifest. What do you do with your precious life? Brag about corporate butt kissing on the Internet. One of the saddest states of existence.

All you really say when you brag about driving a $100k electric car is that you are terrible at making financial decisions.

Imagine bragging on an anonymous layoffs page about what car you drive. Tying your self worth to such a meaningless possession may give yourself the feeling of grandeur, but all I see is someone who blew over $100k on a d-mb car. Enjoy the depreciation.

"I am seated in my Tesla S Plaid while i post this thank you very much. So that still was a 1% layoff, right?"

What a callous comment. Spoken like someone seated comfortably in an ivory tower where employees are just numbers , flexed up or down to maximize bottom line.

It wont happen all at once.
If numbers are correct sales will be next week.

"For them, it did not feel like a minor event yesterday."

True. But this forum is about the company not sole individuals, right?

The wild west here had layoffs at 15% just a few days ago.

Please note that there are teams that were heavily impacted. Some teams lost 40-75% of their workforce. For them, it did not feel like a minor event yesterday.

Yea, very few people get layoff notices at the very end of the half, it's always the first week of the half when the majority of people getting laid off get their notices.

wait till next week after the new fiscal half begins. I have no inside knowledge of any further layoffs, but historically they've laid off sales staff the first Monday of a new half.
