Enbridge is laying off 600 people i just got the email today

Aaawwss the last reply is so serious, now we’re afraid of you. By the way, you being loyal doesn’t necessarily translates to not getting laid off. For all we know you’re a low performer who just like to kiss you boss a**.
If you so negative about it that means you hate working in Enbridge, maybe all those who hates it here should do us a favor and quit so those who appreciate working here like me can stay and be excluded from layoffs. Thank you, just being reasonable and fair to all employees.
The press release say 650 positions and another press release says 650 employees. Either way who knows? I remember during the VWO after it was done by July we had 5 employees who didn’t apply for WVO that were laid off by November of same year. So it could be a combination of vacancies not going to be filled, employees and contractors. I had survived layoffs since 2015 and it’s always a mixed bag of contractors and employees so being an employee doesn’t really give you an assurance that you’re more safe.
It is what it is will go with the flow cant change their decisions , the universe is with me no matter what. Thank you, god bless everyone who gets cut and who got to stay. Will miss those who I know and will be let go.
