Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

Pulse Survey Starts Tomorrow

The company pushed the Pulse engagement survey back until tomorrow so that the people getting fired couldn't take it. It's not looking good in our store, we lost two of our favorite managers and everyone is ticked off.

Like many stores we don't have a great scorecard and with a bad survey, reviews for managers that made it through the layoffs isn't looking good. Anyone else concerned that their survey scores are going to be destroyed due to the changes?

If you want to complain about your store just simply complete a TELL US WHAT YOU THINK Survey. it's completely anonymous. Skip the survey.

Company surveys are NOT anonymous. Anywhere. Do not believe otherwise. If you can't avoid completing it, then respond accordingly.

The survey isn't anonymous, it's confidential. Employees have to use their company ID to log into take the survey and the system tracks responses by employee ID. Don't share anything that would cause the company to have to address the issue.

The questions are so lame.

Survey is anonymous unless someone can figure out who u are by what u wrote. They won't know what else you put. At least this year there's a "neutral" choice unlike past surveys. I'd really like to see Macy's come up with a better survey. I feel confident enough in my store manager than I could go to them with any problem or concern

Omg we go through this every year. It's anonymous. EXACTLY!

The only reason anyone can figure out who did what survey is what the person types.
People will express themselves with writing (typing) the same way they speak.
A person complains all year to everyone and anyone who will listen. Often repeating themselves over and over. Then the survey comes around and they type exactly what they have been preaching all year. On top of all that the author will reference 'in the men's department ' or 'on the second floor, we have zero coverage at night'.
This is rocket science.

Omg we go through this every year. It's anonymous. They log your number to make sure you took it and only once, but otherwise it's anonymous. How do I know? Our vindictive retaliatory store manager would go crazy every time trying to guess who wrote sh-t about her.

Just keep in mind that the survey is not anonymous. Your name is attached to the survey and they will know everything you wrote.

No one can stand right over you while you are taking the survey. That's not allowed. If someone is trying to do this, asked them to leave, and then please report it to solutions in store.

It states survey is 100% voluntary. I don't bother with it. A large percentage of no responses will get their attention more than low scores that they manipulate.

Give 10/10 ratings and you will survive next year’s hunger games

They'll just blame it on the restructuring.
