I was laid off months before Blackstone bought the company, but I always expected that once the acquisition went through, layoffs would be constant. I am in touch with friends who still work at Ancestry and I admit, I was surprised at the impact the acquisition had - or didn't have. I hope the coming round is not as bad as some fear.
