Hope so... can't wait for them to fire me. (I'm outside of the US, didn't get to choose whether to choose or leave w. severance package)

Don't even care about the March 15 RSU vests.. just give me my severance.

He says that the scheduled U.S. headcount cuts may have to be accelerated
and increase in number.

I highly doubt this. There hasn't been enough passage of time to as--s the affects to the company of the current round of layoffs.

Good god, the PE dilemma.

Hold on to the employees, turn the thumbscrews to make them quit (severence free).
Or just lay them off, paying the entity formerly known as vmware's severance package to them all?

Can someone with the interest ask ChatGPT to make song in the style of Kenny Roger's The Gambler about this, and post it here?

I don’t know why but I’m picturing the HR report to be somewhat like reporting to MR Burns.

“Dear Master this week we have eliminated X useless peasants from the payroll.

I want to see 10% more just like my share price by next week, or I’ll send the dogs after you.”

"Op, are you enjoying spreading false rumors?"

They're not false, according to our VP.

He says that the scheduled U.S. headcount cuts may have to be accelerated and increase in number. He also said BC HR reports that cuts outside America are taking longer than expected. HT is getting a weekly update from BC HR on the global employee cuts.

Op, are you enjoying spreading false rumors?
Everybody knows that the 2nd wave is in early May.
What do you want from this childish post?

Maybe they want a trip out back behind the building?

May/June for some transition roles and Nov/Dec for the remaining transition roles plus positions no longer needed due to tooling, partner outsourcing or process engineering. It's in the play book.

Not in March. It starts on May 1. Stop spreading rumors when you have no idea.

All duplicate roles of directors to be cut

If they are coming to office they are safe.
If not coming to office they will be fired without any severance pay.
RTO is mandatory and not an excuse to stay home. Some directors and workers are misusing.
