Thread regarding Micron Technology Inc. layoffs

RTO

Heard they going to implement badge tracking to check if you're coming to office or not! Is that right?

Does anyone know if Micron has its own cell tower? I hope they catch those slackers with the accent

They don't need a badge reader to know if you are on site or not.... They can tell you are there by your devices connecting to the network. Either way they don't trust you and monitor all of the activity on your device.

Yes, Micron does not trust its employees. It is not a matter for those that need to show up on site or not. The Micron HR lie spin that employees want more interaction and that all employees need to return to site for this great interaction. Now Micron will use badge readers to dock you and write you up on your review.

The Boise site was trying to force employees to give high rating to “great place to work” survey. Scott Deboer said in a company meeting if you can’t rate Micron high then just leave. That spoke volumes of how you must obey Micron management . Not how bad Micron is and how to improve conditions.

There are those who have to show up and those who don’t

Former Control Room Operator, Curious what site you worked at. My understanding is that Fab 2 in Lehi was the only site that manages had to request the site access data. All other sites it was available whenever the manager wanted to review it.

Trust me, as a former Control Room Operator, we have better sh-t to do than worry about if you showed up to work 5 minutes late. Your manager doesn't have access to the card holder / access control programs and can't check that without calling us... And I highly doubt that the security manager is going to put up with 20 managers from different departments calling the control room every week to find out who's late and who isn't...

Don't be fooled by someone who appears unassuming because this person is cunning, not oblivious.

Arriving late, leaving early and/or pretending to work remotely while other people are fulfilling their job requirements is not equity.

The job requirement is the same, and personal matters shouldn’t be an exception to the rules or plight for sympathy on an ongoing basis.

It’s easy to sneak by when you appear nice, have the accent and rarely talk.

Why should the boss get to play hooky and call into meetings while the serfs who are boots on the ground prop them up and they take credit for the serf’s work while making much bigger salaries for working less?

Here is a tip.... If you don't want to be treated like a child at work, do not work where the leadership treats you like a child.

The insidism protects those that do not have to abide by the rules, but maybe this will help close the gap.
