Any word if there will be any bridging to retirement?
Previous reductions had some bridging to retirement for employess that were older than 55.

Probably not, unless you have 2 to 3 years left and get a lawyer to fight for it. Be smart dont hate the company for this, and move on, good employees will be called back in a year or two. I trust the universe and my intuitions.
You get a maximum of 2 years (104 weeks) depending on your years of service and age. If you have 28 years and are 53 they'll give you 2 years. If you're 51 and have 28 years they'll give you 2 years. There is no bridge, you can call it that if you want but age and years of service are all that matters and it won't change regardless. It's a severance package, nothing more, nothing less.
I’ve heard that there will be a bridge but I’m not positive on that.
if they have set a precedent already and don't follow suit then its best to speak to legal council. Don't sign your offer until you have spoken to a labor lawyer unless you are totally satisfied with the offer
