I know layoffs are normal after an acquisition, but so many people? Blizzard is absolutely gutted. WoW hasn't been in such a great place in a long while and now this? If the goal is to bring back players, shrinking the teams on its most popular games drastically doesn't seem like the smartest thing to do. This is such idiocy.

The goal is to increase the stock price. Nothing else matters.
