I declined the offer and left. It was by no means an easy decision but soon found a new employer who treats their employees well. Surprisingly I’m getting paid more. Don’t sell yourself short. Had a decent windfall from the BC stock which I mostly sold. I’d much rather be an investor than a BC employee. For context, I’m in Ops/Finance.
RSUs is not a decision maker for me either. I didn’t get that many. I’m told managers did which is backwards since I don’t see the tremendous value they add.
Only a fool would assume that an RSU windfall is in their future. Don't be fooled.
For what people are giving up. The RSUs are definitely not a decision maker for me
"what ??? RSUs motivate everyone of us."
Many of the VMware employees who accepted offers won't have the chance to cash in on the promise of deferred AVGO RSUs, they'll very likely be terminated during an upcoming layoff.

To quote Don Draper:
“That’s what the money is for!”
I think of this every time I see the snack machine or something that gets at me.
People sitting back and doing next to nothing. For those who stay sales on draw until October. So no point putting in any effort. BC have properly sc--wed things up. Way to ruin a once great company.
I have no anger. Broadcom has cured me of caring about my company.
When we were VMware, I worked hard, was proud, did extra. Broadcom has beaten that out of me. Now I do the work and go home.
I still do an adequate job and earn my paycheck. But zero extras. Zero caring.

if you are on the path to be fired, understand your frustration.
but AVGO is the best paymaster to build generational wealth for family.
come to office, work and count your dollars.
Broadcom does not care. It is how they value you.
Collect whatever you get, prepare whatever you need to prepare.
Indeed, so unfair.
