But how am I supposed handle my family business when I have AVPs breathing down my neck about p lists??
I can’t work my other jobs if I have to come in the office. And when can I play my video games?
Obviously your view of WFH is not in sync with reality at Staples at least in SDS. We work with so many offshore teams, folks in Colorado who were pushed to WFH, and team members who often work different days in office.
so why are the CO associates considered productive, but in MA we’re forced to sit in the office 3 days each week, after sitting in traffic for an hour, only to end up being 1 of maybe 10 employees on the entire floor? In 2020 and 2021 we were considered to be extremely productive by management when 100% WFH. I tend to get more done when I WFH too . Yes, Staples sells “office” supplies but times have changed so the sales strategy needs to change to be profitable in a new work model.
And that’s why Staples is going down. No one in office no one needs what we sell at the same levels of the past so growth is a no go. Get back in the office, work harder, sell more, Staples has a chance of surviving. One can dream. Or Stay in your pjs and watch tv and play your video games. Take a paycheck for doing barely nothing and enjoy life. I take door number 2
