Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

JW should be fired for non-performance

How long will stockholders put up with non-performing diversity hires? Stock price is artificially high and revenue is trending down.

Stock price is not the indicator of health apparently. And JW is in way over her head. No new logos and nothing on the horizon.

There, sycophants, demand to take this down.

It baffles me why the financial analysts that cover TDC don't push SM on the number of customer and new customers won in the quarter/year? Anyone have insight into why?

Many a great people have left teradata over the years and I've come to the conclusion that nothing in this world is equal. If it was, we'd have a company run by the smartest people where everyday we would love to come and work for them because we believe in them. Instead, many great people have left teradata who had so much ability, some left on their own, others were riffed, but were never allowed to fully shine. Instead we are left with an ELT who are simply in a word "hopeless".

I feel most for the talent that have been riffed because obviously the decision makers felt intimidated by them and had to get rid of them for their own weaknesses would have been exposed.

That’s a wonderful story and I’m sorry for the loss of your friend, but this is a board with the purpose of discussing negative things. JW is a train wreck as is Teradud. And while I applaud your attitude, I will continue to point out and discuss the negative issues and the demise of Teradud.

My mom had a saying “Always leave a place or a person in better shape than when you got there”.

I guess this is on my mind because it reminds me of a dear friend who I met working here who did just what my mom recommended. Despite going through terrible pain and hardship daily from a horrible illness which he battled valiantly, every time we spoke he uplifted me and made my day better. He taught me so much about how to help our clients to ensure they are successful. His humor lifted everybody up as we discussed all the challenges. My friend never gave up on
our people or our technology. In fact he made it better for providing honest customer feedback.

He would have loved to have been at SKO, hearing the presentations and being with his team.

If he was here to hear me talk about anything negative he would’ve reminded me of the fun we have had together as a team, the battles we have won, the many clients we have helped to do great things.

So I’m going to choose to be thankful for all the good things I get working here knowing that nothing is ever promised. Every lesson, every day, every moment is a gift. And a lot of the job experience is shaped by our perspective and attitude.

Sorry to sound so heavy today. I know it’s more entertaining to post about all that’s not perfect. My only regret today is that I didn’t reach out to my co-worker more often.

I am going to try to shine more light and positivity from now on. I think “T” would be glad to know that those he met are better for having known him. He left all those he coached or just shared our work life with better.

JW was a DEI hire, work evaluated using DEI criteria, and results is rewarded using DEI metrics. JW will only be let go by a DEI advocate using the most lenient criteria.

If a prez of Harfard is still on the payroll, collecting $900K a year, after spewing hate. JW has nuting to fear. Criminals get off with a slap on the wrist and loot another day. JW epitomize the same in the executive ranks.

JW can take the whole place down to the ground and everyone will give it a pass. Only way is to make it think twice each day if they want to face workers for JW's incompentency and failures.

The title of the post was JW has more ethics complaints than we have new logos. Anyone else with so many ethics complaints would have been let go. Instead, we pay off the recipients of her poor behavior and tolerate an executive who is out of her depth. We all know why

If the ethics complaints did not manage to get her removed…

I would like to know how Teradata managed to come up with a whole group of losers as our current LT. Did they advertise for "a company that is looking for anyone that has no idea what they are doing"? If so, they came in droves and our useless Board is supporting them. They have countless layoffs and don't even look to see if there are jobs that these people could do in other departments. AND they ram transparency down our throats and they are the worst abusers. They just keep repeating "how wonderful everything is", so it's apparent that they think those of us that have hung in there through all this, are totally stupid. God help us if someone doesn't wake up and put most of them on the next layoff list!!!! Oh, and in closing, I hear the next Town Hall will be in India. Let everyone go that knows anything and then again, spend money for the entire LT to go out of the country for another useless Town Hall. As long as they line their pockets, the heck with the Company and the rest of us!

We'll see the stock price drift downwards this year as databricks and snowflake continue to take business away from Teradata. It will become patently clear to the market that Teradata is not gaining any new customers and in fact losing their existing customer base rapidly to these two competitors.

The charade from SM can only continue for so long when it comes to the question of new logos and once the charade is over the stock will drop like a brick.
